Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

New to Board

Hi, I just signed up to this board. We've gone from a tent, pop-up. class C, travel trailor in that order;currently have a class B. Guess we're gradually working ourselves up. My hubby is getting ready to retire in Jan and then we plan to head out various directions at different time. Don't think either of us would really enjoy going fulltime, but like the idea of heading out without a defined schedule.
So far, we've been able to take a 10K trip out west and another up to the maritimes in Canada.

Since none of our friends are into RVing, it's nice to see what others are doing with their RVs.

Welcome, mrscrj!  Your rv journey parallels mine, and I'm sure, many others!  We started in a tent, then went to a pop-up, travel trailer, and now live in a Class A motorhome.

We would love to hear about your travels, it sounds like fun!

Also, we didn't think we would be fulltimers, but once we retired and started traveling, we realized how much we love being on the road, so we sold our house.

Happy Travelssmile

Welcome to the forum! A lot of us started our tenting and then moving up and up from one thing to another.

Full-timing is not for everyone, but a lot of people change their minds after they have been out on the road for awhile.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have. There are a lot of very friendly RVers on this forum, and all questions are welcome.

Hope you enjoy your retirement and travels. Maybe we'll see you down the road.smile

Welcome mrscrj,  we also started out in a tent, then truck camper & up & up.  Now we have a 35 ft. 5er.  We hope to start part timing next spring/summer.  You will find that this is the best & most informative forum & members are very friendly.  Hope to meet you down the road.smile

Hello and welcome to the best forum out there. I guess most everyone on this forum started out with tents. The only camping I did was in Southeast Asia. When my wife said she wanted the family to go camping I thought she had lost her mind. Well to make a long story short we started in the tent 1972 and ended up in a 5ver full time. Even the tent was better Accommodations than I had in the Army... and now....well lets say we want for nothing. Glad to have you as part of our growing family and hope you can answer some of my questions.
