Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I have let the people at work know so; I can now let my Internet friends know.
WE ARE GOING TO BE FULLTIMERS!!!!!!
It took us 3 ½ months to sell the house but, with all of the bad housing news that doesn’t seem so long. We move into our Montana next week and close escrow the following week. I will retire at the end of the year and we will head for Quartzsite.
We are only in our mid-fifties but, have been planning to retire early and become fulltimers for years. We attended Life on Wheels back in 2002 before we bought an RV. I have been soaking up information from forums and blogs for years. When our youngest moved out we decided it was time to go.
We are excited and scared but, mostly it all seems unreal after so many years of planning.
See you out on the road.

Grant, congrats on coming out and on the sale of your house. I wish that I had made the decision to come out when I was in my fifty's. If I can get a buyer hog tied soon I'll be coming out of the ole closet myself. Best of luck and I hope to see you on the road in the near future. Gummy

Congratulations and welcome to Full-timing!!!! It's a great lifestyle.
Get that Montana packed up, and maybe we'll see you on the road sometime.

Congratulations on the great news!! I'm in the midst of the moving in....doing too much in too little time. My daughter is going to die when she sees 12 totes ready for her to store....and at least 4-5 more coming. I know I'm saving too much but right now I just can't get rid of some of it.
I'm heading to Goshen, IN in the morning for the Escapade. Still have about 2 hours worth of moving stuff in....will settle it over the next 10 days on the road & in Goshen. Then I will be better able to see where things really need to go. (I haven't even started on the office stuff.....<G>).
The only thing keeping me going right now is that once I am done and on the road, my life will be much simpler and slower....and that's a good thing.
Congratulations!! We are so happy for you guys! Things seem to be really falling into place and you are right, 3 months with the housing market like it is is not bad at all. I hope we can get ours sold in 3 months!
