Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I am wondering if anyone has any experience with a Schwinn Point Beach Cruiser bike, (or something similar), that I saw at Wal Mart?
I currently have an old mountain bike, and it's about worn out. My back doesn't seem to like the mountain bike riding positions any more, so I am looking for something with an upright position that has more than 3 speeds.
Don't really want to spend a whole lot of money on it, as the bike will be exposed to the weather most of the time.

Does anyone use a bike rack on the back of their fifth wheel? We had a bike rack salesperson tell us the mfg of the particular rack we were looking at will not honor any warranty claims if the rack is carried on the back of a fifth wheel? Just wondering if anyone has heard the same?
We carry our bikes on a rack attached to the rear ladder of our 5th wheel. We have had no problems with this setup.
I'm not sure what you mean by warrenty problems?? I doubt there is any warrenty on our ladder, and we bought our mountain bikes at Target. I doubt the bikes have any warrenty, but who cares???
I have a pretty good padlock and cable arounf the bikes, carrier, and ladder.
The only thing I have worried about is if the whole combo fell off on the highway, and damaged some other vehicle. (I have many other things more important to worry about, than this!! )

We bought a bike rack fron Thule(http://www.etrailer.com/p-TH990XT.html) that is heavy duty and is hitch mounted on the back of the 5th wheel. Our bikes are an important part of our life so we couldn't do without them. We like this hitch rack because we can move it to the truck when we are parked and take off for other trails to ride.
