Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
I am not the kind of person that can wait to take delivery of our new Elite Suites. It's only been 9 days and I'm going crazy waiting. Dealer had to order some options for us for his rig on the lot. Washer, dryer, window awnings, etc. As far as the people that order from the factory, how can they wait 8 weeks for their home to be built? We should be able to pick ours up in a week or so. HELP...I want to pick it up NOW...... Sorry for the ranting. travelinbob, southwestjudy and our 2blackdogs
We are one of those people who special ordered our fifthwheel and it took 10 weeks, they had told us it would be 12. Anyway, I wore out the livingroom rug pacing back and forth while waiting. Congratulations on your new rig - you guys picked a very good manufacturer and a great rig. Wish you many years of happy traveling.

Our first motorhome, a 2002 National RV Dolphin, was ordered in early August for delivery in late September. We took delivery the day after Thanksgiving in November. It was very frustrating but we were able to handle it since we were busy at work and had a two week vacation to Hawaii during that time. That wait did not stop us from ordering our second motorhome, the 2004 Dutch Star we now have. They told us 8 weeks and that is what it took. During that 8 weeks we had a lot of nervous energy and travelled 5,000 miles in the Dolphin from Mesa, AZ to West Virginia and back via Indiana and South Dakota. You are not alone in not liking to wait.

I know that feeling! I went nuts trying to find the right one at the right price! I went to RV - show and event like an addicted druggy waiting for then next fix. My friends accused me of looking at RV-mags. OCD The reality thankfully has been a bit more calm and relaxing albeit in no way unsatisfying, even the maintainence etc. And of course finding this site makes it all the more worthwhile. Congrats! May you have many wonderful days living the life. Let us know when it arrives!

Foxriverguy, Only of custom computer courses in my consulting days....not quite the same.
Anyway, all I did was use tickerfactory.com - anyone can do it, choose the background and counter icon, then enter the event date and copy the bbs type code, paste into your signature area and you're good to go!
I waited 2 months for mine to be delivered and to pass the time away, I went to walmart, rv dealer stores, camping world etc on the weekends and picked up everything I needed for fulltiming. So the time passed by quickly. When my unit arrived I had mostly everything I needed. I had the basics already because I had a previous 5th wheel, but of course for full-timing you need a lot more STUFF! Good Luck to ya! and go shopping!
Congratulations on your Elite Suites!! It is a beautiful 5th wheel. We know you will really enjoy your new home. The wait would drive me crazy also. Just remember "this too shall pass" and before you know it your Elite will be ready.
