Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
Hi everyone, to let you know on my background, first of all, I would like to apologize if my english is not that perfect as I come originally from europe, belgian and french roots but on the other hand I found my roots here, on this continent where I belong now. Former helicopter pilot, and interior decorator, I've never been in school, my parents chose the home-schooling, though you may alll know that europe is tiny compare to America and travelling through out a country would take a day and that's it. Anyhow, with my second half, we decided to immigrate 2 years ago to Canada, with a couple of luggages and our two dogs. He's a photographer and I do write for a magazine, we first moved to a condo and figured out it was not for us, I was reading about the emotionnal aspects of full-timing, we already did the biggest part of it, leaving countries we were born, families, friends... the good thing is that the modern ways of communication allow us to stay in touch even better than sometimes being physically close together. We have a home base on prince edward island where sunsets are great and seafood to die for, but we have some other thing in mind. We spend 8 months at least a year in our trailer, even now when I'm writing, I'm parked behind the house and I'm in my trailer. Before we got this cottage which is meant to be rent a part of the year, we lived in our trailer and I have to say that 3 years ago, we never camped!!! And we love to live in it, things are easier, cleaning, storage, as I always like to say "the best things in life aren't things" and then that's what all is about. Necessary staff, would be for me love, friends, exchange, discovery, evolve and so much that you would'nt be able to do if you're stuck in the same place. If I go on like that, I would write a book so let's get to the point:
We now want to do a documentary on full-timing with every aspect involved and would appreciate if you all folks would like to be part of it. You all got a lot of experiences about it and if you would like to share, that would be awesome.
