Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

LOW - Des Moines, IA August '07

Anyone out there planning on attending the LOW conference in Des Moines, IA this August ?  We would love to meet up with any other RV-Dreams readers.  We will be going early for the newbies conference, just bought our 1st 5th wheel this year.  We are hoping to be full time by 2009.

Let us know if you will be there, maybe we can plan a meet and greet (with food of course)!

Beth

We are planning to be there as well, Beth.

When we attended last year, we had not yet bought our coach and thought we were going to get a fifth-wheel so this year we want to go back with the coach and get more specific sessions now that we know exactly what we are dealing with.

We have not yet set a retirement date yet and think this is a great place to talk to people thinking like we do to get ideas.

We will probably boondock at DMACC.  I think it would be great to get together with other RV-Dreamers while there!
BTW, Howard and Linda sessions are fun and interesting...get there early as they fill up!  Also, be sure to get in at least one session with Nick Russell.  He is a lot of fun and very informative as well.

Just to clarify, the Life On Wheels coordinator was supposed to contact all instructors in January and we never got contacted.  It may have just been an oversight and we didn't follow up.  No big deal, but we are not doing any Life On Wheels conferences this year.  smile

Anyway, thanks for the great comments!  smile

I suppose 2008 will be the start of our own little educational conference with the first RV-Dreams Rally.  biggrin

Hi Cindy,

We were at the LOW conference last year too - from the names of your pets, I'm guessing that you are from the Chicago area too.  We've signed up for the Newbies conference so we'll be staying at Saylor Lake.  How 'bout we wear black arm bands to recognize each other and to protest Howard and Linda not being there! biggrin

(BTW Howard - your and Linda's sessions were the best one's we attended last year, really helped us get started on this dream)

Beth
