Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Class C Motorhomes

I haven't noticed too much info here about Class C models. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who full-times in one now or has. We are considering a Class C primarily because it seems to be the least intimidating to drive, lol....but I notice most FTs seem to have the busses or 5th Wheels.

Any thoughts on this are welcome!

God bless,
Melinda

We had a Class C at one time before we started full timing. However that was before the slides came about.  For full timing and 2 dogs we chose a fiver.

We've had 2 class Cs before we bought the our 34H Bounder Diesel. We didn't/haven't fulltimed, but as far as driving goes, I'd much rather drive the class A. There is much more room in the ****pit. Plus, the brakes are so much better. The air ride suspension gives a much better ride. The exhaust brake gives more control. The class A isn't blow all over the place by semis. In fact, the last time I drove over the continental divide in the class C, I vowed to never drive over it again in that RV.

While I enjoyed the Class Cs, I wish I didn't have to pay for the depreciation hit that I took when I sold them.

Just my 2 cents.

We also have owned 2 class C's.   I found them easier to drive than a Class A.  Now with the new Class C's having slideouts you have more living space but I think they would still be a little small for us to fulltime in.

We sold our Class A with 1 slideout and plan to buy a 35' 5th wheel with 3 slides.  That should be plenty of room for 2 on a fulltime basis.  I hope we are right!

Follow that with a review of this previous fourm thread
Most importantly, shop around! Good luck...

We had a class c and sold it for a class A. You set down low in a Class C and you can not see out as well as a Class A. If you come up on a road that Ys into the road you are on you can not see back over your shoulder. We had some near misses like that. I was much happier in the taller Class A. As far as room to live in....Get a 5ver.
