Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Opinions on cleaners.....

What type of household cleaners do you use in your RV?  What have you found that works best on the toilet, shower etc?

I have found the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work great on the sink and shower floor. And have been using a multi surface cleaner for the rest.  What does everyone else use?

Thanks for sharing.

We use Simple Green for a lot items, but we recently discovered "Bar Keeper's Friend" a fine abrasive that even cleaned to brass plumbing on the old coach.  Be sure and test it first.

For outside, I use 303 products and some ProtectAll products.

I LOVE the magic erasers! I use them on the sinks and shower (the whole shower, door and all), all the windowsills, the chrome, the kitchen appliances, anything I think I can get away with. You know the thing I'm having a hard time finding on the shelves anymore is the Resolve Carpet Granuals (not the spray or foam) This was the best for helping keep a carpet looking brand new, and with a dog in the trailer that's really important!

Other stuff I use is just basic, pledge, glass cleaner (professional foam), pine-sol or simple green.

I second the Magic Eraser.  I have used it on the rubber trim inserts that cover the screws that join the RV sides together and also used one to remove some paint scratches left on my MH by another RV's mirror.

The Magic Eraser is truly amazing.  Can't beat the price, either!

Best Regards!

The Magic Eraser also works great on removing black streaks from the outside of the RV.

I love the microfiber cloths (25 to a bag $12 at Sam's).  Armed with those and half strength 91% alchohol in a spray bottle I can clean almost anything.  Club soda for spots on the carpet.  Comet for sinks and shower.  Vinegar for coffee pot and refrig.  Keep it Simple !!!!  smile
