Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Not sure what to do...

We have verbally agreed to purchase a 2003 Damon Challenger model 329, brought to Canada fr. Florida by dealer.  Excellent condition.
Except:  noticed an "old" water stain on the rear (driver's side) of bedroom.
Pointed it out to dealer ( it was very faint)   He seemed like he had not seen it, but said he would definetly check it out.
He emailed a few days later and said he had found a very fine crack in the caulking  and would   be taken care of.
Of course now the question is, what to do?
He is taking our truck and fiver in on trade and everything else is acceptable and seems like a good deal.

Greetings, Kelly!

Saw on the Internet yesterday and in Motorhome Magazine Damon had a recall on a number of units.  Seems the stop, tail and turn lights as well as the side marker lights on a certain number of coaches were not the retroreflective type.

Damon is providing all replacement light units free to those affected by this incorrect spec.  You may ask your dealer to check that for you.  Likely this is on newer models, but it would not hurt to discuss this with the dealer and show the salesperson you are more informed than most buyers.

He has been around for quite awhile, But you always worry when putting out that much money that everything is as it should be.

I feel your pain. Joe and I pick up our new 5th wheel next week and I have all kinds of questions now and I could not think of one a week ago! I guess everyone goes through this. We had Motor homes, C and A's trailers of all kinds and every purchase I have the same thoughts! I hope all is well with your choice, I feel it will be. You have to make your own happiness....Sherri

I agree, we are experts at " second guessing" ourselves.
I guess we are the type of people who believe everyone and "choose" to believe that people would not intentionally deceive others.
