Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Hello from cold and lonely PA

My husband and I sold our horse farm and most of our possessions in 2003 to fulltime. We had never had an RV before and did lots of research and "jumped" right in. We also purchased an RV lot at Outdoor Resorts in Port St. Lucie, FL so we would have a winter home base. We loved it and got to travel across the country to California and up to Maine, along with meeting the most wonderful people and developing true lifetime friendships. We decided, after a family death and some emotional and financial trials with fulltime RV'ing, to sell both the Florida lot and RV in 2006. After a year back in the house, life is very lonely and boring here in cold PA! People that have homes stay in them! We have spent more money than planned to improve the home and find Lowes our second home! We are now looking for another RV to get back out there, but will probably keep the home this time....at least for a little while.....

Hi rvartist

We're also in cold Pa. and not liking it. We'll be leaving in a week or so for Fl and the days are dragging. We usally go to Port St Lucie but it's become so congested we are going to try Arcadia Fl. this year. We will go over for some Mets games and the farmers market in Ft Pierce (Love the bread they sell there).

Hi Tom!

Yes, that area has grown in leaps and bounds....they are expanding the Outdoor Resorts and adding another 250 sites. It is in a great area, but it became too expensive for us to keep that lot. We had purchased our RV new....even though we knew it wasn't the smartest thing to do. At the time, we just fell in love wih the Gulfstream Atrium and those beautiful windows! So, the money we lost on the RV sale we made up on selling our lot at Outdoor Resorts. We are going to purchase used this time around and probably not tie ourselves down to a lot so we can travel more. We will probably workcamp also to make up for the finances....sounds like a plan! It is a wonderful lifestyle and offers so many experiences and friendships. I guess I had to get back in a house again to truly appreciate it...oh well. Nice to communicate with another human being other than my husband this morning!
