Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.
We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!
We have been on the road since November 2006 and have enjoyed every second of it! (Well maybe not the seconds that we spent having the brakes repaired )
Thanks Howard for making this forum available. I just love reading everone's journals, especially about all the sights and places that we haven't seen yet and are looking forward to exploring! Hope you enjoy reading about our travels.
You have a great blog. Just took a quick look at it, then went to the beginning and started reading. I'm hooked! I'm going to have to read it all now. Thanks for sharing.

If you're not getting older...........you're dead!
for those that are interested - we're on our way to Alaska as we speak. Today we're in Dawson Creek and woke up to SNOW!!!! British Columbia is absolutely gorgeous.... for details look at our journal.
Enjoy your trip to Alaska, we did it last summer and enjoyed it a great deal. See our website for the journals. Enjoy the journey and don't rush. Hopefully you have the Church's camping book, it is the best. We were in Olympia area the same time as you were. We stay at Outback RV Park in Rochester and drive up to Tumwater to see my mother and to Olympia to see friends. Olympia is my home town. If you ever go back I can make recommendations for places to see and restaurants.

People, this is a great journal to read on going to Alaska. It has been bringing back memories of our trip in the summer of 2006. JackieandTony: You should have stopped at Three Bears in Kenai for groceries while visiting, it is cheaper than Fred Meyer. It is where my sister buys most of her groceries.

Love your web site also. Our son has been a fishing guide on the Kenai for many years. He fishes out of Soldatna Alaska. He is an avid outdoorsman & if you go on the river with Jim, you will catch fish! He won't let you out of the boat until you do!! LOL We'll definitely be following along as we get to relive great memories with you. I caught a 48 lb King on our last visit there. So much fun!
Thanks for a great site! Don suggested it to us last night in the chat room an I visited this morning.......what a treasure! We are planning to do Alaska next year, so I will get busy and read all of your postings! Thanks for sharing with us!
Thanks for sharing your stories ! The clamming experience was hilarious! I'm sure at the time it may have been a little frightening but it did provide nice material for the rest of us to read - and relate too! Keep up the fun and adventures !

We sincerely want to thank you all for following our Alaskan trip.... we are currently on our way back to Tampa and will be flying to South Africa for part family visit, part wilflife safari. We plan to post all the South African details and pictures to our website as well. Again thanks all! Oh yes... Bill we shopped plenty of times at Three Bears in Kenai... we actually bought our 5 cu ft freezer there too, which we had to purchase to hold all the wonderful fish we caught!!
Hi All, Just wanted to mention to those who don't follow our website, that we have posted our journals and their corresponding photo's of our South Africa trip, which might be of interest to some, especially the time we spent on Safari. Enjoy!!! Thanks to everyone who so faithfully followo our journal - we sure do appreciate our readers.
Sherri and I will not have to make the Alaskan trip due to all the fine journals and trips that we have been fortunate enough to read on this forum! Thanks to all of you for such a great read.
Larry and I enjoy your journal. After looking at the Alaska trips you folks and Bill and others have taken and put into their journals...we are so looking forward to going sometime in the future. Thanks for sharing it all with us. Arlene & Larry
