If the thief removed the sewer cap and opened the valve, there should have been a large puddle of waste as well. There's nowhere a thief could insert a hose to siphon the waste tank unless he climbed on the roof and tried to siphon through the vent. This bogus story has been going around for years and still occasionally makes the legitimate press when someone doesn't fact check very well...

Anyone here know what a sewer outlet looks like in New Zealand? I know the hose connection is completely different than in the USA and it is probably different than the hose connections in Europe.

New Zealand RV'ers use the same 3" bayonet fittings we use in the US. About the only difference would be having the outlet on the opposite side.
