We need quick help. Our air ride system on the rear of our RV is not holding up. We're on a trip back to WA and need to get moving fast. Can anyone recommend a reliable repair service in the Alb area?
We actually found a wonderful repair place in Alb. It's called Stratkus RV Repair. They did an evaluation of our rig and we found out we needed over $10,000 worth of repairs. It's a 20 year old rig and isn't even worth that much.
Wendy at Stratkus let us park our RV by the dumpsters, which we nearly filled, we rented a 15' U haul truck, and they let us park it right next to the rig. We unloaded all of our stuff filling the whole truck - amazing what you can accumulate while living the full-time RV life! They told us to leave the U haul there overnight for safety, and didn't charge us anything other than 1/2 hr labor for the evaluation. They jump started our rig for us at no charge (battery drain was one of the problems) and referred us to someone who would take the rig off our hands. So, after 4 days we were back on the road and finally got home to WA.
We called Broadway Truck Salvage and he bought it from us for $1,000. Way under what it should have been, but at least we don't have that monster draining our bank account any more. We'll just settle down here at home for awhile. I'm sure we'll get the itch to RV again so we may be out there someday.
I would highly recommend Stratkus RV Repair and Broadway Truck Salvage.
