Howdy, Folks, My wife and I are about to set out on the road in a couple of months. We previous owned several RV's but never travelled seriously. Now, we are selling our house and will be off to see America - from the surface. We have have lived in Georgia, Florida, Idaho and South Dakota where we operated a 660 acre (small in SD terms) ranch near Nisland.
Selling all our stuff, closing the house and final arrangements are a bit overwhelming. Especially with the wife still working. However, we are good travelers having hauled horses back and forth across the States and should do well once we are actually out there in freedom land.
We hope to meet many people like ourselves and build new friendships. We have had a lot of experience doing different things: raising a large family, running businesses, bush pilot and corporate pilot, teachers, prison chaplain and firefighter. Both of us having done a lot of volunteer work, we like to be helpers.
We will be traveling in a Four Winds Hurricane towing a Jeep Patriot 4X4 and hope to see many of the National Parks, etc. Susan specializes in working with memory care folks and I am multi-mechanical. I was one of those kids who was always "fixing" things or building something out of junk and spare parts.
We look forward to sharing our moments on this forum as well as hearing all about yours. I am sure it will prove to be both educational and inspirational.
Happy Landings!
Jerry and Susan

Tet. Not good times. I didn't join up until late '68 so I missed that.
