I am doing a bit of research and have found a few reviews which are a few years old.
Would love to learn of newer parks or experiences in a long term RV park within a half hour of down town.
We need 50 amp and full hook ups.
thanks heaps, suse.

We've stayed at Santa Fe Skies RV Park. It's up on a hill out of town but easily within 30 minutes. It is definitely a new park. Immaculate but prone to wind so always put your awnings in if leaving park.
Don't know a out long term you could ask, but I also recall a couple of smaller mobile home parks in town on a bus line.
By smaller I mean I'm not sure how large a rig they would accommodate.
You'll love it there. Gets pretty cold in the winter with snow but lots of sun.

thanks sherry, that park looks lovely!
however it's around three times what we want to pay, so we may look further out.
if this idea we have works out, we'd be using the rig only on weekends, so an hour commute won't be too bad I imagine.
I will keep looking, and maybe even consider putting the rig in a storage facility and just use it on vacations.
i'm still researching my options.
