How much do you keep?
We have 2 full american tourister sets. My idea is a carry-on size, and 2 small shoulder bags about the size of a computer bag.
Any ideas?

I keep 1 good sized carry-on duffle type and a overnite backpack type..... off course just making one big handle and placing it on the roof ,turns this baby into the ultimate portable wardrobe!!!!!!!!

Timely topic, we were just having that conversation tonight as we're sorting through "stuff". I'll be taking my existing job into the FT life for a while. My deal with my boss is that he doesn't care where the rig is parked as long as during working hours they can reach me via cell phone or email and for the 5-10 times a year that I travel on business, I need to be able to get to an airport. So, the roller bag is going, but we're really debating anything else. We're really not sure we'll have the same type of fly away vacations in the future. What's everyone's experience on how many vacations you take where you leave the rig behind? We were thinking we still like to go on the occasional cruise, of course, that also means different clothes than we assume we'd need for RV life......

We keep 1 large and two carry ons. we store our winter coats in case we go home(which we do) and store the Christmas decorations,so they really don't take more room. You can store other stuff for the same concept of using them for a container.

Rolling carry on bag and laptop bag. It has been over 3 years on the road and quite a few side trips and flights. It probably would be different for others depending on circumstances.

We also have several rolling duffel bags, so the plan is.. 1 of the bigger rolling duffels 1 of the standard carry on size 2 back pack size shoulder bags, these can be slung over the shoulder or have the dual handles that come together.
We'll pick up a small backpack, like what the kids use for schoolbooks for short hikes and stuff.
Now were do we store all this stuff

we keep one large suitcase, with a smaller one inside that would qualify as carry on. we originally just had the big one, but we added the smaller because sometimes the bigger one is TOO big. we keep our winter jackets in it as well, plus some extra sweaters for me.

I moved some of my clothes into the TT in duffle bags, and stashed them in a closet, then decided, they worked just fine like that. My theory, since storage space can be tight in an RV, make your luggage do double duty storing stuff when not traveling.
