Hi. I'm trying to decide which discount club to join, as I am going to be traveling a bit. Coach Net doesn't have one affiliated, so I've been looking at Camp Club USA. Escapees have two parks, so that isn't quite enough coverage for my purposes. I know it's an old subject, but I just wanted some input as I'm am getting that RV-roll-me-away fever. :) Thanks.

Actually, Escapees have a dozen and a half parks, plus they have hundreds of affiliated parks where you can get anywhere from 15 to 50% off. I highly recommend Escapees. Not only for the discounted rates, but also for the camaraderie. After that, I would go with Passport America <http://passport-america.com>.

I second Passport America. It pays for itself in no time.
Depending upon the type and location of camping that you do you may also want to look at some of the membership parks like Western Horizons and Thousand Trails. You can get second hand memberships which will save you quite a bit. If camping where they are located works for you it can be a valuable long term option.

Good Sam has a ton of member campgrounds that will offer discounts. However, be ready for an onslaught of advertising to hit your mailbox. I dropped out of anything associated with Affinity Group because of all the junk mail. Passport America is a good deal.

Passport America is a no brainer if you are going to be doing a lot of traveling.
Escapees was the one club I joined right after Bill passed away last year, because I wanted to get away from stress. They were very nice on the phone, but number one, I'm not ready to travel out of Florida yet alone. Two, the two Escapee parks in Florida appear to be in Wachula, and Bushnell. In Wachula they only take two dogs. I have four because I couldn't bear to give up our dogs, and I'm not "disappearing" any of my pets to sit in a park, no matter how nice the park is. That would just add to the stress. So maybe Passport America for right now, even though their parks may have the same restrictions, there may be more choice of parks. If I can find a PA park in or near St. Augustine, I would like to go there and walk in the sand again. That is a lovely place. And in some areas dogs can even romp on the beach on leash of course. At least it used to be like that. Thanks everyone. I'm glad to know the positive responses about the discount clubs, and will check them all out. Next year, perhaps I will travel out of state! Ha, ha, Florida girl ends up in Texas wondering which of the Interstates got her off the Tennessee route!

Following Bill Adam's link to Passport America's website and clicking on campgrounds and then Florida, there is a page which lists three campgrounds in the St. Augustine area:
