Our life changed 2 yrs ago, hubby was laid off, and I had medical issues. So we fixed me, and sold our lives, went on the road and were to live happy ever-after........... NOT About a month ago, hubby gets a call from a company with an incredible job offer, the "once in a lifetime" job. Problem, Mom in AZ we travel the SW, and job in SE Texas. Solution, sold MH, selling Mom's house and moving all to Texas, back to stick & brick for us. You might as why we sold the MH. Well with this job, we are not going to be able to travel that much, and with tags, plates, insurance, upkeep, and storage it simply is not worth the money, we can rent a MH cheaper for what time off he will have. So in 10 yrs or so we will try the retirement thing again, but in the meantime, I'm glad for the time we had, but Mom is getting up there and needs more attention, and so Houston here we come. I will still lurk here, and live through you all, but have hung up the wheels.
PS, something else good did come of all this, we sold the MH for only 1,000 less than we paid for it :) Cheap rental for 1-1/2 yrs :)

The greatest about this lifestyle is no one can take that time on the road and the memories will linger in your heart and mind forever. For now you can do what you need to do at this present time in your lives and then go back to them memories and they will be even more real. Best to You All and Keep Posting! Pieere

You can always go back to the travel lifestyle.....but "incredible" job offers don't always come around in this economy. You will love Houston....I used to live in Katy, TX....west of Houston. Good luck and keep posting!

Isn't that one of the great things about life? Never knowing how it will all go? Congrats on your new life!

Sounds like excellent news. These changes keep us on our toes. I imagine starting out the second time (in 10 years) will be just as fun! Heidi
