Does anyone remember the old 1950's Travelmaster trailers, or as they called them "mobile homes?" That's what dad bought back in the '50s and we took that thing all over the southeast. I was a kid and do not remember what kind of car we had except it was big, blue, and had a stick shift that kept getting stuck in second gear. That was a direct result of the Lucy/Desi movie's long, long trailer, which I wrote about in another section here. Some of these trailers were as much as 40 feet and ten feet wide, on wheels. If you had one, or know about them, can you tell me what kind of car was used to tow them? I cannot imagine one of today's cars doing so! Before he passed away, my dad bought a little Airstream to tow beind the car of his dreams, a little red Ford convertible...I think that's why the motor blew out, but since the Airstream was just a silver bubble, maybe 19 ft. long, maybe the motor just gave up in the heat of the trips we took. Forgive me if I'm boring anyone, but I'm journaling and need to jog my memory a bit by asking for information. Thanks! Scottiegirl
