Everyone is getting antsy . . . the winter is finally starting to fade away and we've seen all kinds of traffic at our campground this weekend - not campers, just those who have been here before and can't wait to get back here. They seem to need to just stop by and make sure their oasis survived the winter and is ready for summer.
It's an itch that has to be scratched! Just driving down here on Sunday afternoon and finding us was a huge surprise to them . . . "You've been here all winter?????" We love sharing how wonderful the experience was to be here in the solitude and beauty through all the winter - survived a blizzard here!
I love this time of year - Spring - awakening the energy that has been hibernating all winter . . . we open our campground on April 1 - and we are excited for another fun season of meeting people and sharing stories of this lifestyle of freedom!
We love our life! I bet you do as well!

Just hearing the night sounds again is enough to get me going! Music to my ears!

Trisha, Sandy and I are just about to go nuts waiting for 4/1/11 to get here. We have a new toy and can not play and it hurts. Sandy talked to our son in KC tonight and they are expecting snow flurries. What gives with weather there? I remember the bouncing around but this year seams crazy. Hope all is well and stay safe. Stay in touch.

Spring is coming--we were fortunate to be spending 7 weeks in Florida--today I looked at the 10 day forecast for our time here is ending and we are soon heading back to PA. Knowing that the camping season is right around the corner up home is a big help. Enjoy the anticipation. As I get older and observe the seasons of weather, it makes me aware of the seasons of life and how quickly things change. Seize the day

Pat and Sandy - it's Missouri weather - the mother of all roller coaster rides! It's been raining all week - in the 40s - just looked at rest of week and we might get a break on Thursday and Friday and see 60s! I ain't complaining - cause it ain't zero! That was the roughest part of winter - even more than 19 inches of snow during the blizzard.
I just crave some sunshine! These gloomy days make me want to curl up and nap . . . and the CEO at work would probably frown on that!

Trisha --- Sandy suffers from SDS [sunshine deficiency syndrome]. She can go into a deep dark funk if the weather is cloudy more than a day. Hey that is why we are where we are. Makes her happy and I like that.

Pat & Sandy - and everyone who craves sunshine . . . thats why I take Vitamin D supplements! Didn't even know I was deficient in Vit D until it showed up in routine blood test . . . now I'm a believer - it has improved my health by building my immune system. So, I carry my sunshine in my pocket when this Missouri weather is cloudy and gray.
