Guess I have been rather quiet on these boards lately. There has not been much to tell, as you know if you read my blog.
However!
We are sitting here in Gettysburg, PA, having spent the weekend exploring the National Military Park. Dave is a Civil War "buff" and has been soaking it all in, as have I. This is the first time here for both of us.
What are we doing so far North this time of year? Well, we landed a long-term security gig with the same company we worked for a couple of months last year. We are headed to Bloomsbury, NJ tomorrow (hopefully). Scheduled to leave Monday, we decided to sit out the latest winter storm right here. Good thing we did, as we had 7.5" of snow overnight.
Today is sunny and gorgeous, albeit white-covered outside. We hope to make the last leg of our journey tomorrow. We are very much looking forward to being back at work, especially security work as it seems to suit us.
We have traveled more than we planned last year and we are looking forward to settling down for a while and replenishing the bank accounts.
Our Montana is fine and dandy, with only one little tweak needed and that issue was resolved a while back and is fine now.
We have learned so much this winter about RV'ing in northern climes; actually we've learned more than we wanted to, but it's certainly been to our favor.
I towed us through the Appalachians with no bother and no white knuckles. Our truck is a beast, I tell ya!
Life is good, even with all that white stuff on the ground!
Cheers, Betty

Betty, sorry for the PM, I sent it prior to seeing your post. You answered all of my questions in this post, good to hear from you again. (Never mind the PM) I just read this post.

I am right there with you . . . learned a lot about spending the winter in our RV. So many helpful people who figured out exactly what we needed . . . cause we didn't have a clue, nor are we mechanically inclined do-it-yourselfers . . . but, we did it!
