Just found out our work camping job is coming to an early end. The road into our campground has some serious issues which the COE has found some money to deal with so they are vacating the park until it is fixed. Had planned to be here 2 months but instead only 2 weeks. We have considered heading to Arizona, anyone out here staying in a park they like that has a reasonable monthly rate (<500/mo). Feeling a little overwhelmed, spending lots of time on RV park reviews but know there are a lot of Dreamers out here who may be in that area and could give me a first hand review and availability if they are there. Just asking??

Thanks. I am putting it on my list of possibilities. It looks like a nice park and a decent price.

If Quartzite's your thing, (our current location) most parks average $300- 350 a month plus power. Lake Havasu City parks average $400.00 and up. Same goes for Yuma.

You didn't say where in AZ so limited it to the few parks I knew and have stayed at:
Huachuca City/Sierra Vista: http://www.tombstoneterritories.com/site/Rates_and_Reservations.html (you'll have to call for monthly rates)

Just wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions. We are headed to Tucson to Justin's Diamond J Park. It was a little higher than we thought we would do but electric is included so it will end up being about the same. It is always nice to run thing by people here. thanks again.

Justin's is a nice spot. We spent a week there in November and had planned to spend much of the winter there before our plans changed due to medical issues. Another winter we will try it out since there are a few restaurants to visit and places to see. There is a Lee Lee's Oriental Market in Tucson, which is another kind of adventure.

Enjoy your time in Tucson. We live here in a S&B and will likely keep a S&B here to home-base from once we hit the road in about four years. Have fun!

Janni and whoever else is in Arizona! I am Jealous! I have to wait a couple more years to head for the West again. I lived in Apach Jct from 1981- 1988 and miss the desert, especially the Springtime blooming. Oh Well, Have to wait. Happy Trails! Pieere

Janni - sending you blessings for a safe and pleasant adventure! I got to see Arizona for the first time a year ago and absolutely fell in love with the beauty I saw there. Hope to make it one of our winter destinations this year!

This is our third year in Arizona(snowbirdX2 and this year fulltime) We have done Lake Havasu City, Casa Grande, Gila Bend, Tucson, Mesa, and Quartzsite. Stayed at all kind of parks and not a bad word to say about any of them. How can there be bad when you are living a life like this?? PS-Janie, I haven't found a park in Arizona over 500 yet. I am sure they are there if you want and need the amenities. My checklist includes water, sewer, electricity.............and sunshine!

Linda and I also are looking. All we want is a nice sized space ,full hookups and maybe a hot tub.Nice shower would be a bonus but not necessary. We don't care at all about activities such as shuffleboard, bingo or pot luck meals. One more NECESSITY...be somewhat close to a Super Wal-Mart.

Hi guys,
There are still lots here in the foothills of Yuma available for $225 to $300 plus electric... I know of one that is available on the 19th or 20th and have seen some others around. The weather here is fabulous and lots to do, many inexpensive cafe's etc. These are LARGE lots with mountain views and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.
Oh, and there's a Wal-mart about 5 miles away! :)
And there's usually space available at the SKP park North Ranch in Congress, AZ for $85 per week. The beaders and the woodcarvers go there in March, but there should be lots of space now.
Thus far, Yuma has become our favorite winter haunt for weather and pleasant living. Come on down!! But shhhhh, don't tell anyone!!! :)
Hugs and safe travels! Molly & Bob
