In a rather shocking move, Verizon has announced that effective 1/16/2011, their return policy will only include a 14-day trial instead of the standard 30 days. This means that new customers will only have 14 days during which they can cancel their new service and return their equipment without incurring a cancellation fee.
Although this should still be plenty of time for customers to see if a device is working or not for them, I was rather shocked at this announcement.
What are your thoughts on this decision?

I agree that 14 days ought to be plenty to find out if something works or not, but since mobile devices are intended to be used in all sorts of locations, it might not be possible to try the device in the camper in a remote campground with lots of trees within the 14-day limit.
