My lease is up in eight months. I'll buy a motorhome then and become a full-timer. This seems to be a neat site full of great info and good people--thought I'd hang out a while and maybe learn a thing or two. I am really looking forward to my first road trip...where I intend to take my alarm clock out to the desert, shoot it, and bury it in a shallow grave. After that it's all about exploring North America and making friends along the way.
Wishing us all a great 2011! ~Dan

Welcome to the forums. However, I have a bit of advice with the alarm clock.....
.....use a shotgun. That way, there won't be enough pieces to bury. We wouldn't want you to overdo it trying to dig a hole for a burial.
We do look forward to any questions that you have. There are a bunch of folks here that are friendly and helpful.

Thanks Guys, for the warm welcome.
Mark & Nancy, go ahead and send me your alarm clock...I'll take good care of it...can even make it look like an "accident" if you want.
Doris & Dave, March is sooo close! I can imagine how excited you are. Cool stuff!
...a shotgun!! Terry, you scare me. LOL But I like the way you think!
Thanks again.... ~Dan

Hehe.....I can see it now. 300 years from now some future archolaeologist will dig up this mass grave of alarm clocks and wonder what strange ritual went on here.
But I am with you Dan. I am sending my alarm clock too. Welcome to the forum

I'm with Terry on using the shotgun. I'll send ours along too!! I actually haven't worked in several years, but Georgia still gets up before dawn, to go give her time (I mean go to work), until we can go full-time too.
Welcome to the forum and best of luck to you in your travels.

Thanks Everyone, I feel like a kid a week before summer vacation starts. I am learning a lot...apparently it's important to eat well (healthy) while on the road. Some folks are eating "vegetables" to accomplish this. Supposably these things just grow in the ground...how cool is that? I always thought they were just a throw-away pizza topping. Before I roll out, I may have a question or two. It's nice to know there are experts here willing to share their knowledge.
Thanks ~Dan

my husband & I were staying in our camper for the two weeks around christmas AND I still had to go back & forth to work....but for some reason the ALARM would not work!
husband said that camper had a built in device that prevented ALARM clocks from working......go figure!
