I spent my early years growing up in Pasadena, CA. We always spent New Year's eve sleeping on the blvd. and sitting up all night waiting for the parade. One of my "bucket list" items is to see the Rose Parade one more time in person. My parents used to park their RV on a side street and we'd set up chairs on Colorado Blvd., and stay nice and warm in the RV. Is anyone aware if this is still possible? I checked the Pasadena website and didn't see anything so far. Has anyone done this in the last few years with success?

I went to Sharp Seating but their main focus is grandstand seating and I didn't see anything about RV parking unless you were buying tickets for the grandstands. We want to go the cheap, "fun" route and park for free on the street. I guess we'll just take our chances. I did read on the Pasadena website that you can park and set up chairs on the curb from noon on on the 31st so that's what we'll do. I was just hoping someone had some recent experience. My last time to do it was about 1984.

I know at least the Escapees Boomer BOF has it all figured out since there has been email. If you are an Escapee check with the BOFs you are a member and also check the chapters from southern California.
