Hey, Bear.
Sorry, but Howard and Linda have ALREADY been in newsprint. Check out their journal archives for September 7, 2005. A news article about their relief efforts following a hurricane.
Also, while I can't remember when it was, I'm thinking there was also a magazine article or something done about them.
Oh, and Howard. I expect to see shined shoes.

Great job Howard and Linda! The hosts are really "unique" but they asked all the right questions.
I do media relations for a living and you stayed on point and didn't let it get off track. That is always a potential problem.
Great job!

Unfortunately, Jo and I had other things going so we didn't get to listen. But, after following you guys for over 2 years, I can imagine how it went.

I tuned in about 7:20 pm, Arizona time, so I missed the first 1/2 or so. Since I've never met either Howard or Linda, I loved the accents! I forgot their from the South. I liked the interaction and information they provided but the time seemed to rush by since there was an RV salesman talking as well, creating a 3-way conversation.
One point I thought worth noting, since the radio host was all about "life changes," Linda and the host made a good point of evaluating your life and deciding where you & your spouse, significant other, or yourself want to take your life and to put a plan into action to accomplish that goal. The hosts didn't simply endorse the RV lifestyle for everyone, but certainly endorsed lifesyles that two people wanted to pursue together that would bring more simplicity to their lives. Interestingly, today on the Glenn Beck show he noted that he is simplifying his life in tagging much of his unwanted/unneeded personal property around his residence and auctioning it off for a charity. He is "freeing" himself from stuff. I believe there's a thread on this forum addressing this issue. Enough of the side-note.
Thanks both Howard & Linda for your time on the air ... although when I picked up on the broadcast, I primarily heard Linda, with Howard occasionally injecting his thoughts.

Hey Tim,
You didn't miss much of Howard. You are just used to hearing from him through his writing but in person, it is usually me doing all the talking!

I'm working on getting a digital file. They aren't archiving for the web, but Mariette said she would send us a copy - by snail mail.

This was a first for me, I listened to the show via my iPhone. I had things to do so I was able to carry on with an ear bud in my ear. I finished my tasks about the same time the show ended.
I only wish my DW heard the first answer Linda gave....it provided a great answer to the why do this (RV Lifestyle) question.
Both of you did great. I'm surprised the hosts didn't ask about the financial aspects of a fulltiming lifestyle. It will be a good topic for next time.

I got to hear the whole thing. For those of us who have read everything Howard's written, there wasn't really anything new. But it was great to actually hear your voices. I wished it had been longer with more from you guys, but it was excellent! Just not long enough.

Got it! Walks softly but carries a "big stick." Or, in Howard's case, a "big pen"!
We just got off the phone with her and we are going to be on tonight's show talking about our "life change".
So, if anyone is interested in listening live, we will be on tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, between 9:00 - 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time.
Just go to the WSTC/WNLK radio station website and click on the red "Listen Live" button on the top left of the homepage.
We'll try not to embarrass the "Family".
