Holy Cow! We signed papers on a 2011 37CKSLS in Kyle, TX, Nov 6th. Picking up the 2011, Ford SD F350 Dually tomorrow. 5th wheel will be prepped and ready on Nov. 12th, our anniversary! Retirement is early next year! We are reading everything electrical, mechanical and otherwise on the Forum and are grateful for all the info from so many of you. We're soaking it up as quickly as possible. Pat is mentally moving furniture from brick & stick to 5er and back again. (Hmmm, can it fit through the door or not?) Charlie is studying everything on the truck and 5th wheel equiptment that he can find on-line. Glad to finally make the leap from window shopper/Forum lurker to owner. Hope to see some of you down the road a ways.

Welcome Pat and Charlie! We're just up the road in Austin. Well, Carol is. Johnny is working in Arkansas right now. Carol's in charge of downsizing and getting the house ready to lease so she can join him in Arkansas in early 2011.

Hi, Carol. We live just north of San Antonio and have not decided to go full time yet, so will keep the house for now. Charlie worked in Roswell for several years which meant lots of traveling back and forth--should have got our rig earlier! Good luck with your future plans. Thanks for posting!

Welcome Pat and Charlie. Congrates on your choice of truck and 5er. Cameo is a well built unit and should give you many years of enjoyment.
We also have a Cameo and love it.

Howdy Pat and Charlie. What a cool way to celebrate an aniversary. Come on down to Corpus Christi when you get ready to travel. It is a short hop and a great location to break in the new home on wheels.
Travel safe.

Thanks for posting (-: We enjoyed cheese and crax along with a glass of wine on our anniversary. Nice! Tonight we are spending the first night in our Cameo and are snuggled in front of the TV and fireplace with computers on lap desks. Our little Pom has taken herself to bed just as if she were in the stix & brix!! She's home & we are too. BTW, we're in our driveway and have all the comforts of home...which we are transfering bit by bit out to the 5er! Take care, Pat and Charlie

Hi. Glad to hear from Cameo owners! We read up on several different kinds of 5th wheels and came to the conclusion that the Cameo was the one for us. There seem to be lots of satisfied folks out there with this brand. Happy travels to you and maybe we'll meet up some day. Take care, Pat and Charlie

Congrats on your plans to get going in 6 months. It took us a long time to make our decision as to rig type and just to muster the gumption to make that committment. Even though we're newbies and so far only in the driveway (-: we don't hesitate to say, "come on in, the water's fine!"

We really are excited, Mel. Have spent the day getting add-ons @ Camping World to get the 5er set up just the way Charlie thinks is best. He has gleaned lots of info from RV-Dreams forum and members, aren't they great?! Hope you find just the right truck to pull your 5er. Take care, Pat and Charlie

Hi, and good for you! The Cameo is our "ultimate" goal once the house sells. For now, the Cougar still gets us on the move . I hear from many happy Cameo owners, here's wishing you are one also. Please keep us informed.

Hello Pat & Charlie and RV-Dreamers!! Been reading this forum for some time, but have never posted anything yet. Finally thought this was the right time to start. First of all, congratulations Pat & Charlie on your new Cameo. We are looking to upgrade to a Cameo 36FWS in about a year right before retirement and can't wait. We can just imagine your excitement!! We currently live in our fiver, but are still working. Fred retires in Dec/2011 and I will retire in Sept/2012. Then we hope to start traveling and seeing this beautiful country. We have found a nice rv park in Castle Rock, WA that we'll call home when we're in the area. Have enjoyed reading about all of your adventures, new purchases and great advice. We hope to meet some of you on the road in the future. Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels to all of you!!

Hi everyone. We're still in the driveway with our Cameo! Pat had a little medical crisis earlier this month which required a biopsy and after minor surgery a wait on a second biopsy. Thanks be to God, the report this morning is that everything is ok. We were blessed with the prayers of friends and are feeling so grateful for a chance to follow our retirement dream to have fun. Stitches out next Monday and then off we go on our maiden voyage.
Glad to finally make the leap from window shopper/Forum lurker to owner. Hope to see some of you down the road a ways.
