We arrived at Cherry Creek State Park, just outside of Denver, Colorado, a few days ago while travelling from South Dakota on our way to New Mexico. The primary reason for the stoppover was so that Jo could visit with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Our intention was to be here for no more than a week at the most.
When we checked in, Jo asked if there was any need for some help that would pay for our full service site. Well, we've just been asked to be Camp Hosts! Because of our continuing travel plans that will take us through New Mexico, Arizona and onto California for Thanksgiving, we said we could only do it for a couple more weeks. The Park Ranger said "Sure, no problem!"
So, we will be having our first work workkamping experience.
We're excited.

Yes, it never hurts to ask or at least put out feelers!
Got your email and I'll be getting back to you hopefully later tonight.
Doing the Happy Dance for you!

How exciting!! Congratulations! I hope that you have a great experience. Someone had told me that they always ask at a campground if they need help for the short-term. I will definitely try it when I hit the road!
Stay safe...

Congrats!!! Sometimes the best jobs just come to you. We also ask when checking in if any help is needed. You will be surprised how many times the answer is yes. Safe Travels

Good for Jo for asking and how fun...a few weeks as camp hosts and getting your Workamping feet wet at the same time (plus free site for your duties). Have fun you two.
