Ok, so I'm beginning to wonder if I've done something wrong or if I just haven't heard this before.
Sold the house, gave away or sold everything in it and then some, loaded everything in the 5er and I still have LOTS OF ROOM left. In my drawers, in my closets, in my cupboard.
Everything I've read before is about cleaning stuff out, sorting and purging, but after 6 months in the 5er I still seem to have just what I need. Haven't found the need to add more or WANT more.
WELL, my bedroom closet is starting to get full, but still have room.
So, I guess my question is; will I just be adding more over the years once we are actually moving around or, maybe, did i just get carried away giving and selling and now can't stop!?

Just shows your very efficent, plus you have a Mobile Suites. Lots of room and more than enough storage in the basement. And yes you will begin to pick things along your new adventure trail. GBY...
P.S. Congratz on the new Mobile Suites. WE have a 2010 38 RSSB 4.

Hey Doris,
You don't have a problem! You did a great job thinning out your posessions and storing the items you kept. Chances are you will start to find things you can't live without in your new lifestyle.
Enjoy!

Well....I think once we started giving stuff away and selling stuff we just couldn't get enough of downsizing! I LOVE not having stuff to take care of, put away, wash, or generally mess with. We've gotten so we we love that the simpler life is, the more we enjoy it!
We were lucky that we enjoyed watching our kids pick out what they wanted and that they appreciated our family hand me downs and my collections. What they didn't take someone appreciated enough to buy. It was also enjoyable to tell strangers the stories behind some of the things they bought.
I really didn't have trouble giving away or selling anything. No anxiety or sadness at all. We are just so darn excited about starting this new life that we could not get rid of stuff quick enough!!
Except for....funny story about not missing anything.....in cleaning out the last of the little bit of stuff after we sold the house I found an old blender we recieved as a wedding present (33 years ago), still worked great, only repaired once in all that time, probably hadn't used it in several years. All of a sudden the tears came ....Dave just laughed at me crying over an old blender (instead of all the family items i gave away) and then I just laughed at me too. We ceremoniously dumped it in the trash can as we repeated what a great new life we were starting!

Oh Doris, I just wish we had your problem.
Congratulations on being able to cut back on your "stuff" so much that you still have empty storage areas in your 5th wheel.
Take Care,
Jim

Congratulations Doris on doing such a good job of cleaning out. Our RV is packed full and we are not on the road yet - living in the RV with the house not sold yet. The house is pretty much empty but there's still stuff to sort thru and we keep bringing more over to the RV with no place to put things.
When the house finally sells (been on the market 7 months with two $5,000 price drops) and we get it completely empty, then we'll have to go thru and purge the RV before we pull out on the road. I can't even imagine how much it weighs right now.
Love your story about the blender.

Wow, what an exciting "problem" you have. I'm guessing we will NOT have that particular problem :)
Congrats on doing such a great job thinning down the load we all tend to hang on to.

Hi Doris! Yes, we all wish it would work that way but for most of us it hasn't. That freedom from the "stuff" though, we can all relate to. The blender story is a good one!
