Yesterday I brought the trailer to the house to start getting it ready for the trip south. I returned it to the covered storage unit today and low and behold, while backing it in I bumped the TT next to mine no real damage except a little skinned paint, about 3 inches long on his trailer in two places. I went to the manager house next door and told him what had happen and to give him my name and number so he could contact the owner. He said no more damage than was done not to worry about it but I wanted the owner to call me just in case he wanted it fixed. Boy did I feel bad. I usely don't have a problem backing the TT but for some reason I was not as careful as I need to be.

Things happen. You did the right thing by letting the manager know. Some people would just walk away and pretend it never happened. Honesty always pays off!

Sometimes those little oops are a great wake up call! My last one cost us about $800 for two new tires, but no one was hurt and I will never "curb hug" again. LOL

Friends of ours had there MoHo damaged by another RV parked next to theirs at their storage facility. When they went to talk to the manager, they were told they were not allowed to divulge the name of the offending party. The other person was gone and no longer storing there. Our friends were, at that point, on their own with their insurance carrier to fix the damages that left the unit unusable til repaired. How would one protect oneself from this type of action? Take down the license #'s and photograph the neighbors every time you park?

My DH dinged the bumper of our brand new 5th wheel when he backed it up the first time. Well it is broken in now. :)

The first storage lot where we kept our 5th wheel also rented out moving trucks (like u-haul).
Unfortunately the trucks were parked out by where our 5th wheel spot was.
Instead of someone from the lot moving the truck up to the office when rented, they would let the person renting the truck go get it.
Our 5th wheel was backed into 3 times. Most of the damage was minor and the lot paid for the repairs. It was just inconvenient and disheartening when I arrived to see once again the 5th wheel had been hit.
Not once did anyone report to the office that they had hit our RV, what a surprise....
We moved to another lot and haven't had a problem since.

I backed into a mail box with our new truck and it ended up costing us $1500 to fix. Not only was I upset about the truck but I had to fix the mail box in 95 degree heat. So yeah, I agree with everyone else it happens to the best of us!!!!
