We are in final prepartaiton to leave on thursday for an extended trip, plan to return in November. I am not a cook but THE WIFE is, what is the consensus on whether or not to take an electric fry pan? Would one use it often enough to take it?
We have been traveling on our boat and did not use it as we anchored out most of the time with no 110v, so we used gas to cook.
Hope to boon dock a lot but will use st and nat parks a lot.

If she used it a lot at home take it with you.If not, don't. We use the same cooking utensils on the road that we did when we had a stix and brix.

Hey Charles,
We have an electric griddle, frypan, and the small electric oven/toaster onboard. Use them all the time at our campground. Saves on the propane and the power is free while we're there.

We use our electric frying pan all the time. Wouldn't be without it. We often use it to cook outside to avoid mess inside. Things like bacon, ground beef, etc that tend to splatter or are greasy work much better outside and save lots of cleaning headaches. Have a great trip!

My Mom used an electric skillet w/lid in our travel trailer when I was a kid. I distinctly remember it "living" in the trailer and her using it frequently when we were camping/traveling.
Would you believe I used it quite often in the house and now it is on the road with us!
