Does everyone out there have a weather radio with them when they are camping?
It may have saved some lives!

Weather radio's are good to have but remember they still need to be able to recieve a signal. This campground is very remote and may not have been in radio range.Flash floods happen very fast.Be on alert when camping in river valley's in inclimate weather.

You have that right, Racerguy. Either myself or my husband check the weather for the area we are in right before we go to bed. If any type of inclement weather is headed our way, we turn on the weather radio. We have been in some remote places where there was no signal.....that's when you just say a little prayer right before retiring for the night.
