Anybody have a good recommendation for a campground very near to Acadia National Park? I really wanted to stay in the park but it appears that there's a length restriction of 35 feet, our 5ver is 37 feet so it looks like we'll need to stay outside the park. I saw some good ones at RVParkReviews.com but wanted to get other opinions.
Thanks

We stayed at Hadley's Point Campground, which is about 2 miles from the park entrance and 7 miles from the town. Very nice rural setting. No sewer hookups, but they have pump out service. Very friendly and helpful owners.
Great area, enjoy!

Is it worth calling to make sure that the web info is correct? I remember Howard said when he was in Arches that there were several sites plenty big enough for 40' rigs but the website was out of date. Just a thought.

We stayed at Mr. Desert Narrows literally down the road from the entrance to Acadia National Park. We were in a 40' MH with full hookup. No "it factor", but a nice CG and very convenient to the park, the town and reasonably priced for the area.
We would stay there again. Sunrise on Cadillac Mountain is not to miss, but quite cool. Be sure and visit Southwest Harbor for shops and restaurants. Take a ride on the mail boat out to the Cranberry Isles. Great trip!

We just spent a week in Acadia ME. We stayed at Timberland RV Park in Trenton ME. 10 minutes and you are in Acadia. 15 minutes and you are in downtown Bar Harbor. We had a WONDERFUL time there. Spent everyday in Acadia. We were going to do other things outside of Acadia/Bar Harbor area, but just found too many things to keep us busy right in Acadia. Beautiful area.... Timberland is a very nice park. Helpful staff, nice laundry, HUGE pull-thru sites, great electric, every site is full-hook ups. 1/2 the price of parks closer to Acadia. This is a Good Sam and a Passport America Park. Hope you have a wonderful trip to Acadia.....
Thanks
