As my musician husband said recently....we've moved more than a dozen times in 21 years (not to mention all the travel when we're not moving)...let's just admit we love new experiences and that we both have the "road gene"...so let's get a rig and go for it.
Reading this forum has been invaluable with tips, info, and most of all in making us realize we're not completely crazy to go down this path. As I paid $173 today to get our sprinkler system fixed, I was once more reminded of why I just don't want to deal with a stix/brix place.
Looking at a Phaeton. Hope to "do the deed" by year-end.

Welcome to the Dreamers Family. We know how you feel, every time we make a mortgage payment, utility bill payment, or as you repairs, I can't help to think how far that money could have gotten us down the road.

Before we finally hit the road, someone made a comment about the cost of diesel needed to travel. My reply was I could either pay $3.00 a gallon to travel or $3.00 a gallon for fuel oil to heat the house and sit in it. My preference? $3.00 to travel. No competition!

That's awesome, I love it! It really is all about how you look at things. From a purely objective point of view, one is really just trading one set of circumstances for another. The difference being which one will make you more fulfilled and happy, that's the trump card!

First, welcome!!! You will find this a great place to meet some really wonderful folks.
It is a great forum!!
You are looking at a great motorhome....good luck on finding the one you want.
We are so glad we no longer own a sticks and bricks and hope that we never do again. There is an awesome freedom that you feel being relieved from that responsibility. I loved my home...it was beautiful but I don't miss it. Our new home (motorhome) enables us to travel and see this great country. It is a trade-off and one I'm glad we made.
Good luck and look forward to seeing ya down the road one day soon. :)

Welcome, I will be a fulltimer effective tomorrow. Making the transition as we speak. Thinking of the last time on some bills, however it is a tradeoff. I welcome the more simple life and freedom. Good luck to you all.
