have been full timing since Oct. 4 2008, and loving every minute of it. We have always said we are gypies and now we are living the dream. We have been taking pictures of the state capitol buildings for the last 10 years. Only have 5 to go. We enjoy horse racing, hiking and just hanging out with friends or just ourselves. Hope to meet some of you someday.

Welcome to the forums.
However, you have now raised a question:
What are you planning on photographing after you run out of state capitol buildings?
(Just kidding.) But, on a little serious note, if you got a picture of Oklahoma's state capitol, was it before or after they added the dome? If before, then you're gonna need to come back.
I'm really envious that you have only missed 5 states.

Which five state capitol buildings do you have left?

I think we might try pictures in the Canada next. That is if we ever get out last five states. We are missing Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Alaska and Hawaii.
Do you think we could get them to build us a bridge to Hawaii?
We are going to Riodoso, New Mexico this summer, so Alaska and the North West will have to wait another year.

Alaska's is in Juneau. I think the only way to get there is by boat or plane. It twould be a fun ferry ride with the rv. :) Welcome to the forum

Happy De-lurking! Hey, ya know this is really the beginning of the perfect time of year to be in the NW! Just saying :)
Sounds like a fun thing to do really! I try to get pictures of various carved wooden characters out there that qualify as landmarks. It is the closest thing I do to any sort of theme while exploring. I have yet to convince Heidi to be a part of the pictures, but I will. I can see her standing next to the giant smiling hotdog by Discovery Bay and perhaps riding the big wooden fish in Garrison MN. I will post them somewhere when I finally talk her into it!
I agree with JanieD that taking a ferry to Juneau would be a fun ride!

Welcome Paul and Shirley....glad you decided to stop lurking and jump on in. This is a great forum with fine folks and I am sure you will have lots of experiences to add here. We started full-timing in August so we are very new to the lifestyle but are really really loving it.
Hope to see ya down the road!! :)
