We have noticed many post about the RV furniture and replace of. We understand about the decor and RV furniture thing. We decided to make a few changes to our fifth wheel before we become fulltimers. The following is some of the changes we have made to our fifth wheel.
We removed the uncomfortable love seat sleeper and replaced it with a small studio futon. The futon is very comfortable and the arms lay down to make a sleeper. It is great for napping on! The back is low so it doesn't block our view at the rear window.
We recovered it to match our denim and leather decor. We also repoisitioned the sofa and the recliner for better TV viewing.
We replaced the dining table and chairs with a small but expandable one that we already owned.
We also recovered the window valances and headboard.
We removed the carpet to discover that we already had vinyl floors below it.
We removed the ugly wall boarder that was everywhere. It just peeled right off.
We found the fabric we wanted at a discount fabric store. We haven't spent much money at all and it feels more like home now. We still have a few more changes to make but the changes we have made, has made our fifth wheel feel like home to us. No one eles out there has one like it!!!!!

It looks great. Isn't it fun to customize your home and make it "yours" ?
The only piece of original furniture we have in ours is an end table / cabinet and we still have some more things we want to do.

Good job! Y'all did way good, Denise.
What kind of lights do you have atop your cabinets, and did y'all install those? I bet it makes just the right amount of soft light for TV watching and soft "homey glow" at night.

You are right, It does make for soft lighting. I bought these light at Home Depot. It is a package of three lights that I screwed into the top of the cabinets. I had to drill a hole through the cabinet so I could plug them in near the counter top. It has a On/Off switch I placed above the plug. We love the soft light the put off.

I love that look.... and would like to have it, but our cabinets touch the ceiling. It gives the soft light I mentioned, plus it just looks WAY good!
Is your microwave plug in the upper cabinets? You could plug the lights in the other half of that plug and not have the cord coming down to near the countertop. That would keep the wire from showing, plus save your countertop plug for cooking appliances.
