Since we got our Travel Trailer, we've been wondering if we could stuff both bikes in the back of the truck? Well, fortunately a friend had a long, folding, WIDE, aluminum ramp (a VPI Bad Boy) and he let me borrow it to see if it would be possible to fit our Harleys in the bed of our F350. Well... we are *THRILLED* to report that it is possible!!!
(note - I remove the saddle bags from both bike when they are loaded in the truck and carry them in the travel trailer. It makes it easier to tie the bikes down.)

Or you could do it something like I've seen on the tv program "It Only Hurts When I Laugh" and ramp jump it in.
Please email my wife to tell her that I should be allowed to buy a motorcycle?

How's this?
*BOTH* of you get a bike and attend a Rider Safety course together and then ride, ride, ride!
I can't tell you how much we both enjoy riding. It is one of the most enjoyable things we do together!
(This was on the top of the Willow City Loop, near Fredricksburg, TX in 2008)
(on the Guadalupe River in 2009. We removed our helmets only for the pic)

We have been trying to figure out how to take our bikes along...we have a 5th wheel, but short of breaking the doubles law and having to stay on the freeways....we have finally resigned ourselves to them not going. Going to put them in storage for a year and see how much we miss them. We are not going on the road until spring 2011, so we can enjoy them this year!
I AM SO jealous.

Originally, we were thinking we wanted a 5th wheel. As a result we only really had two choices. A toy hauler, but we really didn't like the "feel" of them. Or, a chassis truck, with a long enough frames to carry the Harleys sideways, behind the cab and then hitch the 5th wheel behind them. The problem with that would be that the truck would be really L-O-N-G and have to be custom built to the point it migh be hard to sell.
There was another option that would be to have a chase vehicle that could tow the bikes, but my wife wasn't going for us driving separately and I'm glad.

Yeah, we looked at all those options too. Not enough living room in the toy haulers...I wish someone would make a 34 ft 5th wheel with about a 5 foot garage on the back and a side garage door. That would work!!!
We'll keep looking, but looks like it won't be happening for now.

We full time with two Harley's inside a bed topper, on a Dodge one ton pickup.
Because we load and unload about every two weeks, we use a electric winch mounted inside the topper and a wide aluminum ramp. We just winch the bikes in and out.
Nothing like having youe bike wherever you travel.
