Well everyone, we got a "kink" in our plans this week. So much hoping to get our house sold and get on the road sometime in the spring or early summer.
House was set to go on the market this week and Judy now has to have surgery. She will be having a rib re-section to remove a bone tumor on one of her ribs. It will require 4 to 5 days in the hospital and about 6 weeks of recovery time. So, please remember us. Surgery will be Monday, so I won't be posting for a few weeks.
Obviously the house cannot go on the market until I am able for us to have people looking at it. So, a slight delay in our plans. Maybe towards to end before I go back to work, we'll find that 5'er which we still don't have. But, have to sell the house before we can fulltime.

We will keep your wife in our prayers. We have hit several bumps in the road on the way also but have not given up yet. The most important thing right now is to get your wife well then everything else will eventually fall into place.

Judy and Bob,
You both will be in my thoughts and prayers as you walk this path. Judy, I wish you a complete and speedy recovery.
As a survivor of breast cancer, I can emphasize with you regarding the decisions and the path ahead of you both.
As someone said in a different thread, the road will still be there when you are ready!
Take care, be strong, let us know how things are going.
Peace, Betty

Update on our status. I came out of the hospital last Friday after having surgery on Monday. We got the first report on the tumor back yesterday and it was bnign. They sent it on to another lab for further study and it will be about two weeks before we will get their report.
The doctor estimates I'll be off work approximately 2 months. Hopefully, I'll start feeling better way before then as we need to get this house on the market. And, find an RV. So, when the house sells, I can retire.
Thanks, Judy

Judy - so glad to hear your good report.
As many readers at this site knows, we too have had "bumps" on the road. Last year was a difficult time for us. But we hung in there. Then we were to take off in Oct. We were told in Sept that Len had skin cancer so we postponed. Thank God no cancer.
Then we were to leave on Jan 10. I came down with Cat Scratch Fever and was put in hospital Jan 5. I am now cleared to travel and feeling oh so much better.
So now we plan to leave this Sunday. OOPS! Don't you just know it! They are predicting a snow storm in the South Jersey area starting Saturday. We are not concerned. We will leave when it is safe.
So - as others have said, they have had bumps also. But when the time is right and your medical issues are behind you (as they will be), you will find that perfect RV, sell the house, retire, get out your atlas, fill the fuel tank, and head on out. See you down the road!
