I am new to your site and would like to introduce myself.
My name is Linda and I am retired. I have been the driver of our motor home for several years. My husband was suffering from lung cancer and we used our motor home to stay in several place for him to get treatments.
Our intensions were to do more traveling then we actually did.
I now have made the dicission that I don't want to sell the motor home and want to try and get it back on the road and meet new people to travel with. I believe that I would love the rv life. I know I enjoyed the times we did get to travel.
This is why I have joined RV dreams. You can do anything if you can dream first.
I am an active women in daily life and I don't feel like dying on the vine. So here I go. I need your help.
Thanks Linda

Linda, welcome to RVD, YOU SOUND GREAT, you sound like you are ready to hit the road again. This is a great site, we are all at different stages of dreaming, THE members who are not yet on the road dream of the day they will be, And the members who are on the road dream of what tommorrows destination will bring. Welcome to the forum.
You've found a great site to learn how to make your dream come true. Lots of friendly folks here willing to help in any way they can. If you have questions don't hesitate to ask. Someone will have an answer for you.
Don't blame you at all for not wanting to just sit around and "dying on the vine" as you say.
Good luck,
Jim

Thanks for the encoragement from all that posted to me.
I have check out RVing women and I will look into that site.
My first trek will be from Miami to the west coast of Florida to get Diamond Shield to repair the shield on the front of the coach. It has discolored and they want to keep the coach for a week to repair.
Then if things go well, I plan on going to Achworth, Ga. for Christmas and spend time with my family over the holidays.
This will be exciting for me, my heart beats a little faster just thinking about the first trip out on my own.
Thank Again

Linda-There is a group called "Sister's on the Fly" who go fly fishing. Most of them have the little 8'-10' vintage trailers...but some have MH's. It's all women and they meet several times a year to fly fish and enjoy the "women only" comraderie. Their website is www.sistersonthefly.com. This would be a fun way to meet new people across the nation. Any groups would help ease the transition to traveling by yourself. You can do it....sometimes we just have to step out of our comfort zones. I had never traveled by myself nor flown by myself until I started working. Now my husband and I travel to different locations for work and I found I can do it....a little nervous at first. Good luck!!
