Well, we have talked and talked and thought and thought....still talkin' and thinkin'.
Looks like we have decided to search and hopefully acquire a 5er in the near future and start downsizing, scanning paperwork/photos, etc. We have a target "jump" date of 12-24 months from now. Even if we get to that spot and decide not to do it, well, hey, no one can MAKE us, right?
We will have the option of pursuing that lifestyle. The other thing is, since our residence is tied to our job as self-storage managers, we will have indeed a true "home" should something happen to our job. One has a false sense of security in this profession. You are someplace a few years and think of it as your home; however, in reality it isn't.
The storage industry has held up well during today's economy, so we figure we could always get another similar position should we decide to come off the road even for, say a year, or at some point when we no longer can/want to full-time.
So I guess you'd say we have an exit plan for both lifestyles. Cool. Now it's just shop 'til we drop and find that 5er!
