I'm in the process of moving from the wannabe stage to the mainstream. I'll be putting my home up for sale after Christmas. I'll be purchasing my first RV then. I have a photo project that will probably take 1 to 3 yrs to complete that will take me to every region in the country. I don't plan on rushing it. If it takes me 10yrs, that's fine too.
I think I've researched the full-timing life enough to know what to expect and don't feel any trepidation about the downsizing. I pretty much feel as Howard and Linda do, that at some point, life becomes more important than work. While I know my son thinks I'm in need of a good psychiatric exam he's coming around to accepting the idea. I keep telling him, I'm not starting anything....I'm simply finishing what I started 42 yrs ago before life got in the way.
Hopefully, I'll get to meet some of you if/when our paths cross and we can swap lies over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. In the meantime, I'll still be here envying you.

Well we are just looking for our starter home that will fulfill our needs for at least three years... If we still want to do this in three years I figure we will know for sure what we need by then...

Thank you all for your comments...hopefully I'll get to meet each of you one day. I've always been a bit of a vagabond and while settled in a stick & brick place, the road is really the only place I've ever felt at home. Much of my career was a lot of traveling so when at home I felt strange. In fact one position I had for about 7-yrs I was on the road from Sept through May...then off for the summers. By July...I couldn't wait to get back on the road. Kerri...I don't want it selling to quickly. Believe it or not, I actually have a plan. I am a little ahead of schedule on the plan so I'll list the house Dec. 1st. rather than after the holidays. So...I guess I'm maybe 3 or 4 weeks ahead. Can't wait. Again...thank you all for your kind comments.
