My wife and I have made the decision to hit he road. For 10 years I spent 150 to 170 days a year on the road speaking at schools, prisons, mens groups and church's. The last 2 years of that we had a class C MH that we used. We loved being out on the road, the memories, adventures and friends we made were great. I have been in 44 states so far. But the expense of traveling and keeping up a home was killing us, and as the economy took a dive so did our income. So 2 years ago we made the decision to come in off the road and get a regular job with health benefits and a retirement plan. After 6 months we lost the health benefits, 3 months ago they canceled our 401k. So we have decided in 8 to 12 months to give up our job and hit the road again. But this time as fulltimers. We are going to rent the house out to our daughter, son-in-law and grand kids (yes we understand the risk but believe it is worth it) The income from my speaking engagements should be sufficent. If not we will have to get creative but we are not afraid of that. Guess I really do not have a question just wanted to share with others that are already out there. I have found we have to be careful who we share this with because there are a lot of well meaning people who will try and talk you out of it. So in the next few years if you see a big bald guy out there, breaking bricks, tearing phone books in half, straightening horseshoes and bending steel bars come and tell us hello.
