When we lived in the Sticks and Bricks home, I had a Craftsman shop vac that was a fabulous tool. Now, after 6 weeks on the road I see a need for something other than the upright we use in the coach. CQ does not like the idea of me using it for utility or cleanup outside the inside.
So I am looking for recommendations, complete with model numbers if you can locate that information.
Thanks.

We have a one gallon wet/dry shop vac. It is small and compact...

We also have one of those one gallon wet/dry Shop Vacs. Don't use it too much, but it has come in really handy a few times, especially when a water pipe broke and we had water everywhere.

We were in Walmart today and they have Shop-Vac brands.
They also had the 1.5 Gallon Shop-Vac Hang On model. I didn't find it on Walmart's website, but the link is to Shop-Vac's site and it indicates Walmart carries it.
Both were pretty compact and the reviews on the Hang Up Mini are pretty good. :)

The previous discussion was oriented toward vacuums for use in the house.
Howard--
Thanks for the lead. We are at Walmart once a week or more. I will check it out.

When I first moved into my 5ver one of the first things I did was open the wrong valve in the basement [storage compartment] and started to flood it. I shut the valve off, drove to a home depot 2 blocks away bought a 1 1/2 gal. wet/dry vac. and a bag of oil dry and in no time it was cleaned up. I left a fan to help dry it. No mold or mildew everything went well inspite of the dumb mistake. I have used that vac to clean up the truck the storage compartments as well as remove water and clean up small areas on a church build job I worked on. It was one handiest purchases I have made.

Alan,
I will be sure to check out the vacs at Home Depot. That is a good recommendation.
