Cookie Queen and I have been really busy getting rid of the rew remaining possessions in our home and taking care fo getting the motorhome ready to depart in early September.
Yesterday we spent a lot of time loading the coach and the storage bays. It appears that the storage bays will not be packed solid.
I made several trips to Target to buy storage containers and then labeled each container as to contents. We've also been using Space Bags to seal winter clothes for when we return to Illinois for the holidays in 2010 and beyond. Then, too, you never know in winter when the weather will turn chilly along the Gulf Coast.
We also had our final garage/yard sale and did much better than we anticipated. Of course, we had to sell stuff at very low prices, but we got rid of a great deal and then donated a few boxes and bags of stuff to Goodwill.
What amazed me throughout this entire three-year process was the amount of stuff we accumulated. Stuff that might be used and a lot of stuff that just sits in drawers, on shelves or in closets.
We'll be out of the house and living in the motorhome starting July 11. Then it is on the road in early September.
Dreams do come true and RV-dreams can help them happen!
