Having a problem with my onan 4000 ky generator. It will crank but will not start. If I push the prime side of the start switch I do not get the clicking noise I did before. Unit does not seem to be getting fuel. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks

The hubby said it is one of three things. 1)it is not getting fuel 2)It is not getting spark or 3) it is flooded. Ann

Thanks for the suggestions on my problem with the generator. I was finally able to get it into a shop to be checked out. We were at various locations that we did not need the the unit since we had elecrtric hook up ( except at Point Lookout State park in Maryland where it was 90 degrees and a transformer in the park burnt out -- electric was only off for about 3 hours).
The tech checked out the Onan and found the positive wire to the electric fuel pump had been chewed by a mouse right up next to the pump. He thought it looked like an old chew that finally snapped off. He called tech service and they recommended to replace the pump since there was no wire to splice. The new pump in on the way.
The last two years I have put 5 electronic mouse chasers in the motorhome in the winter. I thought they has been working OK-- guess not. Look for plan "B".
Again thanks fot the help. I learn alot on the forum.
