Not sure what you mean by "residential tax"? If you mean property tax, I don't know of any state that collects property tax on an RV. Or do you mean like a Park Model that never moves? That would be a different story.
As far as RV's go, once you pay any sales tax on purchase and an annual registration fee there shouldn't be any further tax.
At least this is from my experience so perhaps others will comment.

Some states collect personal property tax on titled vehicles. I think it includes RV's as well.

Thanks for the reply. I seem to remember reading some states will asses Residential / Property tax on your RV if you live in it and don't have a conventional house. I hope my memory is incorrect. Anyway, thanks again.

Kentucky taxes about anything that moves, boat, RV, auto..if it has a license Kentucky will send you a tax notice, EVERY year..and it is based on the book value. I just got through paying them over $380 tax on our truck, now for the boat, car, RV, my old worn out shoes, probably lawn mower next considering the state of our States' finances...I tend to wander at times, sorry....Marty

Mickey, Kansas does charge you personal property tax on your RV every year. You pay it when you re-new your tags.

We pay $14.50 a year on our RV for our Tags, only have to pay sales tax when you buy the RV. Our tags for the 1 ton dually is $52.50 a year. We have no State income Tax at this time but the Tax and spend types are trying to get one. Everytime so for we have voted it down, but they keep trying. We do have a high sales tax (9 3/4%) but I prefer that vs income tax. But it's a never ending battle of keeping people out of our pockets, and wasting it on stupid things. For many years our roads were very good, but now I think the Tax and spend types have figured out a way to steal that. GBY....
Thanks in advance,
Mickey
