Hi everybody, Not everyone has a blog. so instead of waiting for one person to ask about a certain area. Please If there are some great campgrounds that you have stayed in. Tell us about it, I would love to read where to stay in every corner of the States. Mention as many Parks as you want . Just please do not forget to mention where they are and what made them great. Thank you my new road family.

These two places are my favorites of all we have ever stayed. http://www.guadaluperiverrvresort.com/ We stayed this past fall and loved it. Nice and quiet and very well maintained. Lots of space and even a little saloon that had dancing and such! Sits on the river. Texas HillCountry at it's best. http://www.leadville.com/sugarloafin/ This is my very favorite place to go. Nice and quiet, not luxurious, but oh my goodness, the beauty is more than I could ever describe!

I was in Leadville once, many years ago, on a concert tour with the U.S. Marine Band. It was beautiful then, but as I recall it's pretty high up in the mountains, over 10,000 feet, but kind of sits in a bowl. There was lots of huffing and puffing among the brass players - we even had oxygen bottles onstage for the tuba section to use when they weren't playing. I also remember that I had one of the soundest night's sleep of the whole 9-week tour there.

Yes, it is very high up and oh so beautiful! We live in the mountains and so we are acclimated to the higher elevations. You do get a great nights sleep when in the mountains. It usually takes people several days to adjust. I just love Leadville. They were afraid last year, that the whole town would be swept away because of the flooding in the mines there. I am so glad they found a solution and got it under control.

We are staying at Bentsen Palms in Mission Texas right now, and I must say this is as nice a campground as we have been in in almost 3 years and over 200 campgrounds.

The sites are large, level, cement with patios, well landscaped and kept immaculately.
They come around and mow and edge every week and then have someone follow up and blow any grass clippings off your site or truck. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all, just about perfect, and it's reasonably priced.

Parkview Riverside RV Park...you will find pictures of this park in Howard and Lindas RV park reviews. One of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Read Howards review of this park and add it to your list...we sure did.
