After following this forum for the last 4 months ... and becoming addicted ... I think it is time I finally introduce myself! My name is Angela and my husband Don and I are hoping to sell our house in the next couple of months and live fulltime in a 5th wheel. Hopefully we will be able to travel south in the winter and back to Canada for the summers. We have spent the last 4 months looking at various 5th wheels and also at motorhomes and think that the 5th is the way to go for us. At this point I think we have narrowed down our choices to either the Landmark Augusta or one of the Cameo's by Carriage. Our only RV experience up until now was with a 21 foot Class C on weekend trips, so we have lots to learn. I am sure we will have lots of questions as we get closer to realizing this dream. I have already learned a great deal from following this forum and have been really impressed with how helpful and friendly everyone is. Hopefully we will be on the road soon and may get to meet some of you one day.

Welcome to the forum! Ask all the questions you need to and we will all try to give you the best answers that we can. We just ordered a 2010 Landmark Augusta and expect delivery in early February. We are so excited. We have a live chat also and feel free to jump right in anytime. We are a very friendly bunch...more like a family. Welcome again!

Welcome Angela and Don.
Many Canadians spend the winters in the Southern U.S., so you will not be alone.
If you've RVed in a class C, then you already have the basic knowledge of how an RV works. That should help. Most of the systems on a 5th wheel should be basically the same.
Be sure to ask the friendly folks on this forum if you have questions. Most are willing to help in any way they can.

Hello! Vancouver Island was where we took our first long RV trip once we bought our first rig in 2002! Such a beautiful place you live!
As Jim said, there are many Canadians down in California & Arizona this time of year - in fact, we spent last summer in Canada & learned that Arizona is actually a province in the winter!
Enjoy all the information you'll find on Howard & Linda's website - they ahve been very generous with their information & have helped many of us along the way.
Hey Girl...Sherri and I welcome you to the forum and hope that you visit us frequently. We need more input on the forum and we love the news and information from our northern neighbors. Many of us plan on traveling to Canada in the future and your input would be greatly appreciated.
