As we've been following a number of our RV-Dreams family members' websites and/or blogs and have noted that some of you have stayed at Rainbow Plantation in Summerdale, Alabama. This is just a quick note to say that if you ever find yourself here that we would enjoy meeting you - so stop by and sit a spell! We are in the ERPU sites which are just right of the red barn (site 318). Just look for the Cedar Creek - hope to see some of you soon!

There will be another Cedar Creek there next year. We start fulltiming in 11 1/2 months and plan for that to be one of our first ventures. Hope to see you there or sooner!

Dang Judy and Darrell, I would give anything to be there but I still have to stay close to this job. That makes it tough but someone has to do it. We look forward to your Blog. I don't suppose you have up-dated it? Last I looked you had not. Have a good stay and maybe we will cross paths later on in life.

Darrell and Judy,
Rainbow Plantation is one of our favorite SKP parks, and we stop by there every chance we get. Because of commitments this spring and summer, we won't be coming that way this spring, but should be through there early next year. We'll be sure to stop by and say "Hey" when we get there.
If you're going to the RV Dreams Rally, we'll see you there.

Rainbow Plantation is one of the nicest SKP parks in the system and the past two years they have had an exceptional staff. There have been a lot of activities going on throughout the Park with a lot of participation. Gary and Millie Small are the managers with Patti assisting with activities and Larry a wonderful cook. There were around 175 people out for the Valentine's Day Banquet which was a wonderful meal. I am happy to report that this staff will return again next year in November. So anyone passing by Lower Alabama owes it to themselves to stop by and spend a few days in Summerdale.

The weather in Lower Alabama is mild with average temperatures ranging from the 40's to the 60's. It has dropped into the low 30's a couple of times and has been in the high 70's on others. This winter has had a series of storms crossing the entire country bringing us several severe weather conditions, however, the "severeness" tends to stay on the west side of Mobile Bay and crossing to the north of I-10 which leaves us with some windy/rainy conditions. It is certainly not as warm as Florida but for us northerners it is much nicer than shoveling sn*w. For the most part we have had nice sunny days with only a couple of "stay inside" weeks and those weren't back to back. Couple that with the nice large sites and all the activities here at Rainbow Plantation it makes this a nice place to "winter" during the months of January and February.

Hey, Everybody!
Sounds like Darrell has invited us all to come stay in his RV anytime we feel like it. Wonder where he and Judy are going to be?
Oh, guess they will stay in the kitchen of the "gathering house" preparing our meals and being plumber.

You have me convinced. Once we start fulltiming next year we will be trying out lots of Escapees parks. First we will head to Livingston the change our residency. Thanks for the info.
