Hi Everyone. Well, after 15 years the RV-Dreams Community Forum is coming to an end. Since it began in August 2005, we've had 58 Million page views, 124,000 posts, and we've spent about $15,000 to keep this valuable resource for RVers free and open. But since we are now off the road and have settled down for the next chapter of our lives, we are taking the Forum down effective June 30, 2021. It has been a tough decision, but it is now time.

We want to thank all of our members for their participation and input over the years, and we want to especially thank those that have acted as Moderators for us during our amazing journey living and traveling in our RV and growing the RV-Dreams Family. We will be forever proud to have been founders of this Forum and to have been supported by such a wonderful community. Thank you all!!

Things That go Bump In The Night

Is my TV trying to tell me I'm a few brances short of having a full bush ?

While I wait to fly out to the daughters in Marina Del Rey for the holidays, I'm at home getting the MH ready to become an orphan for a couple months ( getting any all groceries  out that might  freeze)

Got up this AM around 5AM to check a few things, had the TV on a local news channel.

Shut down the PC , turned off the TV, and laid down on the divan for a nap.

Woke up with a start because I heard some talking in the room. The TV was off but I could hear what sounded like a local traffic report. Turned the TV on and sure enough the channel I had been watching an hour or so earlier was broadcasting the morning traffic.  Turned TV off but could still audio in the background. Turned TV off/on several times but the audio was still there.

I know I might talk to myself sometime but this is strange to turn the TV off  but leave the audio on  ! ? ! ? !

WOW that is bazzar. When I was little I had hidden the microphone to my tape recorder (that takes you back don't it) in my brothers room and it was picking up a radio station. There was no radio in the room that was on but it must have been hitting just the right frequency. BUT at least I had the recorder ON! I would check it again in the morning see if it does it again.....you know before you go and commit yourself to the loony bin.

Hmm, maybe check the fillings in your teeth, or try wearing one of those aluminum foil hats so "they" can't read your mind!

I have a switch in my MH that enables me to run my TV system on either engine or house battery power.  When the switch is on house battery and the TV is off I get a faint clicking noise, sort of like a dripping faucet.  Must be some kind of feedback issue, it did drive me wild trying to find the source of the noise.   Even my aluminum foil hat didn't solve that problem.

Best Regards!

It's those darned electrical gremlins We plugged in a power strip to control our little Christmas tree and rope lights. When we turned it on ...the Bose System on the other side of the room went off. Yikes!
